Wolf Pine

Noah Magnus, tree surgeon in Hayle

Wolf Pine covers west Cornwall from Hayle — tree removal and felling, climbing and sectional dismantling, crown reduction and pruning, hedge cutting and storm work. The person who comes out to quote your job is the person who does it.

I served in the Army before I started this, and I have spent the last three years in professional tree work. The work I take on is work I know I can do properly, and if a job is beyond what I should be doing I will say so.

Qualifications

My tickets are City & Guilds NPTC, the standard qualification route for tree work in this country. They cover climbing, aerial rescue and running a chainsaw from a rope and harness.

Why I quote the way I do

Every quote is priced on site, in person. Never over the phone, never off a photograph. A photo does not show me the ground, the access or the back of the trunk, and a price given without those things is a guess that gets revised upwards halfway through. It costs you nothing and you get a real number on the day. The whole process is here.

Where I work

Hayle and the villages around it are on my doorstep. Beyond that I cover west Cornwall — St Ives, Carbis Bay, Camborne, Penzance, Marazion, Redruth — and further afield across Cornwall and Devon for the right job.

Tell me what needs doing

Every quote starts with me coming out to look at the job. It costs you nothing, and you get a price on the day rather than a week later.
