I am based in Hayle and cover west Cornwall. These are the towns I work in most, each with a bit about what tree work there is actually like. I also travel further afield across Cornwall and Devon for the right job.
St Ives
Most work here is climbing and sectional dismantling, because a large share of the town cannot be reached by machine.
Carbis Bay
The work here is mostly crown reduction and pruning on large mature trees in sloping gardens above the beach.
Camborne
Most calls here are about a garden tree that has outgrown a small plot, or a boundary tree causing a problem between neighbours.
Penzance
The gardens here hold a wider range of planting than anywhere else in the patch, from large Victorian specimen trees to palms and cordylines.
Marazion
Trees here face straight out across Mount's Bay and grow accordingly — lower, tougher and shaped by the wind.
Redruth
Granite terraces on steep streets, mature trees in older residential gardens, and more conservation area than people expect.
Hayle and the villages around it
Hayle is home, so it does not have a page of its own — this whole site is the Hayle page. The villages in between, places like Lelant, St Erth, Connor Downs, Gwithian and Leedstown, are all on my doorstep and I am in and out of them constantly. If you are in one of them, ring and ask.
